"Training the Next Generation in Godly Homes"
A Dire Need
A series of subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle attacks on Biblical Christianity has produced a dire need among the churches of America. Youth group culture permeates the church and forces a generation gap between parents and their children. Meanwhile the systematic division of family into separate parts for the various services and programs offered by the church causes families to be torn apart even on Sundays.
The average American father now spends a mere eight minutes per day with his children, and that includes mealtime and group television viewing. The church is in desperate need of restoration back to the truths taught and lived by the holy men and women of old. As we live in a culture that has declared open war on Christianity in general and Christian families in particular, this is no time for compromise with the world.

Family-Integrated Church
In response to this developing crisis, Roanoke Valley Sanctuary of Praise intentionally integrates the family, as a whole, into everything we do. Families are encouraged to pray together, worship together, and listen to the preaching of the Word together. While the nursery is available on an as needed basis for children under three, even the little children are encouraged to both receive from and participate in the service.
We believe that God clearly declares a vision of generational harvest in the Scriptures. Each Godly home should have generations of children that rise up and carry on the torch of faith to the children to come. Each congregation desperately needs such a harvest to continue building the Kingdom of Heaven. The Word of God reveals that this vision is dear to the heart of God. For this reason, if for none other, this vision is dear to our hearts as well.

A Unified Effort
We believe that a united effort between God, the family, and the church can and will assure that our faith will be passed on to the next generation with even greater dedication and diligence than we now possess. For that reason, the ministry at Roanoke Valley Sanctuary of Praise is dedicated to discipling fathers so that they will be equipped to disciple their wives and children. Through this careful united effort, the children are prepared to do the work of God in the future.
