Yesterday was the first day of the marriage seminar, and several of the couples were unable to make it. Bro. Misael and Bro. Alexander were there, so Bro. Finnicum changed gears a bit and taught them how to help problem marriages in their church. Today, several more couples are supposed to come, so we hope that it will be a very profitable day. We have given out some of the clothes to specific pastors and other people, but yesterday we opened up the rest for the pastors that were there, so that they might help some of the poeple in their congregation as well. I think our "store" was a success, as everyone left with a smile on their face! Some of the men's shoes we brought were a perfect fit for some of those that we had hoped to help. Bro. Rigo was excited with his. We also brought a bilingual Bible for him and Bro. Luis, 2 of the faithful young men in Bro. Misael's church. It is so fun to watch them try to read the scripture in English during the services.
Last night we went to a church for the first time. It is near the village of Bro. Geinrre, and the church started as an outreach from Bro. Alexander's church for the people who had to walk so far. The pastor is Bro. Alexander's brother, Bro. Joshua. He had about 100 people there, and many obviously unsaved men were outside the church listening, as well. It seems that the "gringos" coming to their village for the first time was a big deal! Bro. Joshua was with us in every seminar last week, and he is so hungry for more. He told Bro. Geinrre that he did not want to be left out of this! We are going to write letters for some of these pastors for Visa appointments, so that they can prepare to come to the United States in the Fall of 2012. We hope to get them there in time for the Fall campground meeting, then stay until the meeting in Brownsville in November. Several of them have already gotten their Passports after the first time we talked about this meeting, and are really anxious to come.
Savana and Abigail are doing well. They testify every service, and their sweet spirits are such an example to these people. It is such a blessing to bring young people here who are a living example of what we are teaching.
Thank you for your prayers. We have 2 more days of the marriage seminar, and 3 more night services, so we
